The Robinson's

Last June, we made our annual trip to Arkansas and Louisiana to see Christian's family. This last June, we were able to have a visit with the Robinson's. Christian's dad is Cecil, and we met Cecil and Barbara Robinson. This was the man that Cecil Lawrence was named after. Cecil Robinson was the brother to Cecil Lawrence's mother. I know...long story.

We had a great visit with them and the kids just adore Uncle Cecil. He played and joked with them. He rode the kids around their neighborhood on his golf cart. And, Aunt Barbara is a delightful woman. She made me feel so at home in her house. She just loved on Magan too.

We visited with them for a few hours and during our visit, Christian's Aunt Kathryn came over to see us. She is 92 years old and drove herself to their house. She is the sister to Cecil and Grandma Robinson.

This picture includes Cecil and Barbara Robinson.

This was such a sweet picture. Mallory and Mason just loved Uncle Cecil.

This is Aunt Kathryn. Can you believe she's 92? All she wanted to do was hold Magan. It was really sweet but she's a tough lady!

Random kid pictures..

As I update my blog, I've found these random pictures of the kids. I like to post them because you can really see how the kids have grown. And, typically, they aren't posed in any way. So you really get to see them as they are...wild!

Everyone wanted to pose with little sister on this day. The picture isn't too clear but its not bad.

Mallory must have really been tired! This was around the time that she fell and busted her chin.

Magan loved her play mat. She learned to roll over on this mat. She has really changed.

Sweet laugh!

Magan's First...

These are quick pictures I took of Magan's first "real" meal. Up until this feeding, she had only been eating bottles. She had some sweet potatoes and oatmeal. She didn't really like it. But we tried!

Skating with Friends

I'm catching up my blog, so you'll see lots of old posts about the kids and our events. We went skating last year (sometime) with our friends, the Moseleys. Mason and Mallory had only been skating one or two times before this trip. So Mallory was still unsure about her feet on wheels. Mason got out in the middle of the rink and I don't think he made it back to the side until we got ready to leave. This is my friend, Sandy, holding Magan while everyone else was skating.

Mason was playing a skating game called "Dead Bug". The music plays while the kids skate. Then the announcer stops the music and yells "Dead Bug!" The kids fall on the floor and play dead. Whichever kid is last to fall down is out! Its cute!

Mallory getting a trip around the rink from Daddy. She wanted Christian to skate but I need him to get a paycheck! He kept his tennis shoes on for traction!

Watch Mason go! He really got the hang of skating and loves to go.

Look at that beautiful girl in her roller-skates!

I found my photo card from last year. I had forgotten that I have two cards for my camera. I found some great pictures of the kids doing various things. I'll start posting so you can see how much they've changed. Starting with:

Papa Bob - He is married to Connie. They moved to Georgia in May 2010 to get away from the cold, Michigan weather. My kids think he hung the moon and we think he's pretty cool too. He likes to play with the kids and keeps them in line in the process.

Recent Days

Life has been a little busy lately. Having three kids is a lot of work, but rewarding! I have lots to post and I won't get to all of it tonight. But I wanted to get these pictures on the blog. I'm having trouble with my camera card adapter, so I can't upload pictures from my camera. But these were taken by my brother at a recent family photo shoot. To see the professional pictures, you can go to www.ereneedavisphotography.com to view the photos that Renee took of my entire family. Renee and her friends did a great job that day!

Isn't she just beautiful?

He looks a little mischievous.

I hope they will always be best friends.
This is one of my favorite pictures ever taken of them. They are so adorable!

Easter 2010 continued

After church, we went to GeeGee's house for lunch and more egg hunting. The lunch was a big spread and tasted so good. Nanny and Pap made pork roast and dressing and we had ham. It was the best meal we've had in a while.

Magan and Daddy hunted a few eggs before she got really fussy. It was past her nap time but she needed eggs too.

Bobo loves his little sisters!

Magan sporting her new hair bow from Ms. Delynne. It matched her dress perfectly!

All in all, it was a great Easter!

Easter 2010 continued

I didn't get a picture of the kids in their Easter clothes in front of any beautiful flowers because there were none at my house. So we had them stop in front of the church for a quick pictures. Magan slept through the whole thing. Mallory's dress turned out so cute (if I do say so myself) and the color was perfect for her. Magan's dress, after several alterations, did not fit. I had to improvise with a dress that someone gave Mallory when she was an infant. It was a beautiful dress and she looked beautiful.

The kids hunted eggs during the Sunday school hour. They split the age groups up so everyone would have plenty of eggs and nobody would get hurt. Everyone had a great time!

Show me your eggs, Mallory!!!

Mallory and her friend, Katy, with their beautiful dresses and their Easter baskets. Lovely girls!

Mason was helping Mallory get some eggs (or he may have been defending his catch!)

Easter 2010

Happy Easter!!!
We had a great Easter this year. The Easter bunny brought the kids new bunk beds (early) so their baskets weren't filled with too much junk. But they still had a good time opening them. We had to get up early because we had to do Easter bunny before we could go to church.

Of course, everybody loved the candy in their basket. The Easter bunny, thankfully, didn't put too much candy in the basket. He knew we didn't need it around here!

This picture didn't come out too clear, but the Easter bunny brought Mallory some play food. There were two ice cream cones in the play food and they thought they were so cool.

The Easter bunny brought Magan a purple lamb and some candy. She was really excited about the lamb! Cute baby!

It was a great Easter morning! Thanks, Easter bunny!

Here comes Peter Cottontail!

I asked my friend Cindy if she wanted to go to the FBC, Covington Easter Egg Drop this past weekend. I had never been to one but heard it was really fun. She and her daughter Katy went with us, and her nephew, Chase, went with us too.

Look at this cute picture of the four of them. The sun was really hot and bright, so they couldn't look at the camera. Check out Mason and Chase. They had not met until this egg drop. Mason was so sweet to keep up with Chase.

The Easter bunny came in the helicopter with the eggs. He made a few passes over us and then dropped the eggs on the ball field. The kids then ran out onto the field to collect the eggs.

Our kids were some of the last to run onto the field. They didn't get many eggs (Mallory didn't get any at all) but they had fun seeing the helicopter. And, they still got candy. They turned in their eggs and got candy from the church. It was fun, but we'll get there early next year!

Mallory's First Soccer Game

Mallory's first soccer game was two weekends ago. It was very cold outside and the wind was blowing hard. But the kids didn't seem to mind. Check out Coach Jeff!

Go get that ball, Mallory!

Katy was running hard for the ball and her teammates, Mallory and Jason, were ready to help her defend the ball.

Gracie loves playing soccer too, and has decided that her job is being the goalie!

More bike pictures...

He has now gotten fearless when it comes to riding his bike. These are pictures from last week. He's now standing up on his bike!

First bike ride!

Mason recently taught himself how to ride his bike. One afternoon, I went out into the driveway to see what the kids were up to. Mason (without a helmet) was riding his bike down the driveway and stopping himself with the toes of his shoes. After I fussed at him about riding without a helmet, he said "watch, I can ride my bike without training wheels". So he showed me again. It made me a nervous wreck. A few days later, he started riding in circles in the driveway. He figured out how to balance himself. I was so proud!!!!! Such a big boy and growing up so quick.

Soccer is Here!

Mallory decided this year that she would play soccer. Her friend, Katy, said that she was playing so Mallory decided she needed to play too. She found out that she REALLLLLLLLY loves it! And she's really good at it. Last year she was a cheerleader. But she didn't do much cheering. She and Gracie stood on the sideline most of the time, or they sat out and ate their snacks. But I think she's going to play all soccer season.

Her coach is Justin Bell and Jeff Roudebush. They are really good with the kids and they encourage the kids all of the time. These are pictures of their first practice. Check out the "pick tails" again!
