Sweet baby???

When Christian and I first started talking about having a third child, he was not really in favor of it so much. He was fine with having a third child but he wanted them to be adopted. He doesn't really like the pregnancy part and he's terribly afraid of the "C" word. COLIC!

Mallory had it terribly and it lasted for many weeks. It was one of the most stressful times for us both. I was not working when Mallory was an infant but I couldn't make it through the nights by myself. Christian and I took 30 min. shifts to deal with the constant crying. Many nights we would end up in tears ourselves.

So when I approached him about having another baby, he was a little reluctant. But nevertheless, I won that battle and now we have sweet Magan. We prayed for her health when she was growing and we also prayed that she wouldn't develop colic. Mostly because it seems very painful for the baby but mostly because it is stressful for the parents. In the last two weeks, she has started to cry more and we've changed her formula a time or two to make sure she doesn't spit up too much. The last few nights, she has cried for hours at a time starting around 6:30 and lasting as late as midnight.

Last night was terrible. I was with her for five hours by myself and she cried the whole time. I was in tears when Christian came home with Mason and Mallory. I had done all I could do. It took him less than an hour to get her to sleep and she slept soundly until about 5:30 this morning. Tonight she only cried for an hour or so, and then she went to sleep in Christian's lap. He swears she has colic, and she might, but he seems to have the knack for keeping her comfortable. Sweet baby!

  1. That is so sweet (I mean the picture...not the colic). I love sleeping babies!
